How WEBKANDY helps DJs, labels, and booking agents get found online

We’ve built websites and digital tools for the music industry for over 20 years, for brands like Defected, Soulfuric, Nervous, including independent artists, label managers, booking agents, and tour managers.

The job changes every year. Streaming changed how releases work. Social platforms changed how fans find artists. Mailing lists came back. Then short-form video. Then mailing lists again.

Through all of it, artists and labels need a home they own. A site that loads fast, ranks for their name, captures emails, and connects to the platforms fans use.

A site that ranks for your own name

If you search a DJ’s name and the first result is a stale third-party page, the artist loses control of the story. Bookers, journalists, and fans all start somewhere. That somewhere should be the artist’s own domain.

Our sites:

  • Rank for the artist or label name on Google
  • Load in under 2 seconds on mobile
  • Show current releases, tour dates, and contact details above the fold

We’ve done this for solo DJs, 4-person agencies, and labels with 200+ releases in the catalogue.

Release pages that convert

A release page is a sales page. The job is to get a visitor to press play, pre-save, buy, or follow.

We build release pages with:

  • Embedded players for Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, Bandcamp, and SoundCloud
  • One-click pre-save links
  • Direct buy buttons for Beatport, Bandcamp, and merch
  • Schema markup so Google shows the release in rich results

For label catalogues like Soulfuric, we set up templated release pages so a new record can be published in under 10 minutes.

Tour and gig pages that update themselves

DJs and artists hate updating tour pages. So they don’t. The tour page goes stale and bookers stop trusting it.

We connect tour pages to Bandsintown, Songkick, or a simple admin form. Add a date once. It appears on the website, the booking page, and the EPK automatically.

Booking pages that route the work

A serious booking page does 3 jobs:

  1. Shows the agent or representative for each territory
  2. Filters time-wasters with a clear form
  3. Sends qualified enquiries to the right inbox

We build booking pages that route enquiries by region, fee bracket, or event type. The right enquiries reach the right person.

Mailing list capture that respects the reader

Spotify owns the listener. Instagram owns the follower. Email is the channel an artist or label fully owns.

We build sign-up flows that connect to Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or Brevo. Pop-ups fire after 30 seconds of reading, not on page load. Welcome sequences send a free track or a label sampler. Lists are segmented by genre, region, or release type.

For one independent label, this took the mailing list from 2,400 to 18,000 in 14 months, with open rates above 40%.

E-commerce for vinyl, merch, and digital

Labels and artists sell vinyl, t-shirts, sample packs, and digital downloads. We build stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, or Bandcamp Pro depending on catalogue size, margin per unit, and whether the artist wants to ship themselves.

We’ve handled pre-orders for limited vinyl runs that sold out in 6 hours. The site has to handle the traffic spike, send the order confirmations, and export shipping data to a fulfilment partner.

SEO and content for music brands

A music brand ranks for 3 things: the artist or label name, the release titles, and the genre plus city searches (for example “house DJ booking London”).

We do the technical work (schema markup, page speed, internal linking) and the content work (artist bios, release write-ups, label history, gig recaps). Both are needed to rank.

How to start

Send us a short brief: who you are, what you sell or promote, what your current site does and doesn’t do, and what you want it to do in 12 months.

We reply within 2 working days with a scoped quote and a timeline. Most projects ship in 6 to 10 weeks.
